1880
3 to 5 feet
Bred in France in 1873 by Gilbert Nabonnand, this charming Tea rose is a timeless garden favorite. Her large, very double blooms open in a gorgeous blend of copper, yellow, and pink tones- shifting from warm apricot to soft blush, often with a luminous yellow glow at the center. The result is a flower that looks different in every flush and light, always captivating the eye.
The blossoms are moderately fragrant, with a classic Tea rose perfume, and are typically borne singly on arching canes. A prolific bloomer, Mlle. Franziska Krüger offers repeat flushes of color throughout the growing season. The shrub itself is compact yet graceful, reaching about 3–5 feet tall with tidy, healthy foliage and excellent disease resistance.
This historic Tea rose is ideal for warm-climate gardens (Zones 6b–11) where it can shine as a specimen plant or blend beautifully into mixed borders.
