Staff Child Care Provider

We’re looking for a fun, dependable 
Child Care Provider to join the Antique Rose Emporium team and help create a safe, engaging, and enriching summer experience for our staff children (ages 2–10) in a beautiful garden setting.

This position is 2–3 days per week and offers plenty of space and resources for hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, gardening, crafts, and creative learning experiences.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for children ages 2–10 in a safe and welcoming environment
  • Plan and lead engaging activities including crafts, games, gardening, outdoor play, and creative learning opportunities
  • Encourage curiosity, creativity, and age-appropriate exploration in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Help maintain a positive, structured, and fun atmosphere for children of varying ages
  • Communicate effectively with staff parents regarding daily activities and needs
  • Support light setup, organization, and cleanup of activity areas and supplies

We’re also exploring the possibility of opening some future sessions to the public, making this a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys developing engaging children’s activities, camps, or educational experiences.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Loves working with children and creating meaningful experiences
  • Has a dependable, patient, and positive personality
  • Enjoys outdoor play and hands-on creative activities
  • Feels comfortable supervising children of multiple age groups
  • Is organized, proactive, and able to think creatively

Garden Generalist (Gift Shop Focus)

We’re looking for a Garden Generalist to join our Nursery & Display Gardens team and help create a welcoming, beautiful experience for every guest, from the garden paths to the Gift Shop checkout counter.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to guests selecting plants, garden supplies, and gift shop items
  • Serve as the main cashier, processing transactions accurately and efficiently through our POS system
  • Share product knowledge, seasonal promotions, and basic gardening advice with enthusiasm
  • Maintain an inviting, organized, and well-stocked Gift Shop environment
  • Restock and creatively merchandise retail displays
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
  • Maintain assigned nursery sections through watering, pruning, deadheading, fertilizing, and weeding
  • Assist with unloading, tagging, and restocking plant deliveries
  • Support special events, festivals, and peak seasonal sales days

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Can frequently lift 25–40 lbs
  • Has a warm, welcoming personality and strong customer service instincts

Garden Generalist – Nursery Sales (Plant Knowledge & Customer Support)

We’re looking for a Garden Generalist with a focus on Nursery Sales to help guide guests through the heart of our Gardens, where roses bloom, and plant dreams begin.

In this role, you will:

  • Guide customers in selecting roses, perennials, shrubs, and companion plants
  • Provide basic plant care advice, including planting, watering, sun exposure, fertilizing, and seasonal maintenance
  • Create a welcoming, educational shopping experience in the nursery
  • Maintain nursery presentation by straightening plants, refreshing signage, and keeping aisles clear and inviting
  • Support inventory organization, tagging, and restocking of plant material
  • Assist with unloading and placing plant deliveries as needed
  • Collaborate with horticulture staff to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is shared with customers

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for plants and enjoys sharing knowledge with others
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with guests of all experience levels
  • Is observant and takes pride in keeping spaces neat and visually appealing

Garden Generalist – Waterer (Plant Care & Health)

We’re looking for a Garden Generalist with a focus on Plant Care & Health to help keep our Nursery & Display Gardens thriving day after day.

In this role, you will:

  • Water assigned nursery and display garden areas thoroughly and consistently
  • Follow seasonal watering schedules and adjust based on weather conditions
  • Monitor plants for signs of stress, pests, or disease and report concerns promptly
  • Assist with basic plant maintenance such as deadheading, pruning, and weeding
  • Help maintain healthy, sale-ready plant material throughout the nursery
  • Support overall cleanliness and organization of hold and display areas

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in consistency and attention to detail
  • Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Has a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through
  • Can recognize when plants look “off” and communicate concerns clearly
  • Is comfortable lifting 25–40 lbs and staying active throughout the day
  • Finds satisfaction in behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything blooming
