5 to 6 feet
A breakthrough in rose breeding, Wicked Sister® is the devilishly more resilient offspring of the beloved Abraham Darby®, and she’s here to prove that beauty and strength can go hand in hand. Part of our Pioneer Series, this enchanting shrub rose was bred by Mike Shoup, and officially introduced in 2022.
Her blooms are a captivating pink blend, often touched with a romantic blush, and display an old-fashioned quartered form with up to 166 petals packed into each flower. The moderate, citrus-sweet fragrance is reminiscent of classic garden roses, making her a delight for both the eyes and the nose.
Wicked Sister® is a true season-long performer, producing flushes of blooms throughout the year. Her tall, arching habit reaches upwards of 5 feet in height and spreads to about 6 feet wide, making her equally suited for use as a show-stopping specimen, a graceful landscape shrub, or part of a mixed garden border. Her glossy, medium-green foliage sets off her blooms beautifully while offering outstanding resistance to common rose diseases- making her far easier to care for than many traditional varieties.
This hardy, heat-tolerant beauty thrives in USDA zones 5b–11 and is ideal for gardeners seeking the romance of an old garden rose without the fuss. Her name may be Wicked, but her charm is utterly irresistible.
