2025
3x5
Graceful and enduring, Virginia’s Song is a rose that touches both the garden and the heart. This resilient shrub has proven its toughness in our trial beds, producing soft, pale pink and white semi-double blooms that open wide to welcome pollinators throughout the growing season. As autumn arrives, those same blooms give way to abundant clusters of large, bright orange hips, adding seasonal color and wildlife interest to the landscape.
Originally known as ‘Seraphim Guard’ by its breeder, Andrew Boraco, this rose carries a deeply meaningful legacy. Its name now honors Virginia Hollis, an 8-year-old camper at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas, who tragically lost her life during the July 4th, 2025 flash floods. Often lovingly referred to as an “angel,” Virginia inspired the renaming of this rose; its beauty and strength serving as a living tribute to her spirit.
A consistent bloomer, Virginia’s Song delights with heavy flushes in both spring and fall. Its compact, spreading form, reaching about 2–3 feet tall and 4–5 feet wide, makes it an easy choice for borders, mass plantings, or accent spots in any garden design. True to its thoughtful breeding, this rose was developed to show strong resistance to common rose diseases such as black spot, downy mildew, and powdery mildew.
