Bright, cheerful, and nearly always in bloom, ‘F. J. Lindheimer’ is a wonderful choice for adding a splash of warm color to the garden. Its glowing yellow-orange flowers are produced in rapid succession, creating an almost continual display from spring through fall. The color shifts subtly with the seasons, becoming more or less intense depending on temperature and growing conditions, so the plant is always offering something a little different.
The medium-sized, double blooms are carried in clusters on an upright, well-branched shrub that reaches approximately 3 to 4 feet tall. Its uniquely recurved leaves add an unexpected layer of texture and character, giving the plant visual interest even between flushes of flowers. A moderate fragrance adds to its appeal, while its prolific blooming habit makes it equally at home in a mixed border, hedge, container, or as a colorful garden specimen.
Named for Ferdinand Lindheimer, the 19th-century German-born botanist known as the “Father of Texas Botany,” this rose carries a little piece of Texas botanical history into the modern garden. Hardy, adaptable, and remarkably floriferous, ‘F. J. Lindheimer’ is a bright and distinctive Pioneer rose that refuses to stay out of the spotlight.

We want you to have the best success possible with your roses and ask that you let us care for them over the winter and receive them at the time that you plan to plant.
