Bred by Dr. Robert E. Basye in 1988 and introduced into commerce through Antique Rose Emporium in 1992, Belinda’s Dream is a cross between ‘Jersey Beauty’ and ‘Tiffany’. Dr. Basye named the rose after a friend’s daughter in Caldwell, Texas, giving this exceptional rose a special connection to the state it has come to represent so well.
The large, fully double flowers can reach approximately 4 inches across, with layers upon layers of soft pink petals and a rich, distinctive fragrance that many have described as mild-to-moderate in strength. Blooms are produced generously in flushes throughout the growing season, creating a succession of beautiful bouquets from spring through fall.
The plant itself is just as impressive. Belinda’s Dream forms a sturdy, fast-growing shrub with an upright, bushy habit and abundant glossy, dark green foliage. Antique Rose Emporium is in Texas and the December weather can be anywhere from below freezing to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. But our weather is extremely mild compared to the northern United States.
We want you to have the best success possible with your roses and ask that you let us care for them over the winter and receive them at the time that you plan to plant.
Please ensure that you are not experiencing freezing temperatures and the ground is not frozen when you plan to receive your rose.
