Give your azaleas, roses, and other acid-loving plants the perfect boost with MicroLife Acidifier 6-2-4. Developed in collaboration with Bart Brechter, Garden Curator of Houston’s renowned Bayou Bend Gardens, this fertilizer is formulated to thrive in soils with a pH of 5.0–7.0. Packed with extra sulfur (12%) and humates, it helps lower pH, enhance nutrient uptake, and bring out vibrant blooms and lush foliage.

This premium blend contains over 100 minerals, vitamins, natural plant hormones, amino acids, and sugars—plus billions of beneficial microorganisms, including Endo & Ecto Mycorrhizal Fungi, for long-term soil and plant health. Safe for all life forms and 100% slow release, it won’t burn your plants and works equally well for ornamentals, turfgrass, and garden beds.

Key Benefits:

  • Ideal for azaleas, roses, camellias, and other acid-loving plants

  • Helps offset high pH and sodic irrigation water/soils

  • Builds soil health with humates, beneficial microbes, and mycorrhizal fungi

  • Improves plant vigor, bloom quality, and root strength

  • 1% iron for deep green color and 12% sulfur to lower pH naturally

  • Completely safe, non-burning, and slow release

Application Rates:

  • Building beds/gardens: 40 lb per 1,000 sq ft, worked into soil

  • Top dressing ornamentals/gardens: 20–40 lb per 1,000 sq ft; repeat every 3–4 months

  • Turfgrass: 20 lb per 1,000 sq ft; repeat every 3–4 months

We ship our roses from September to May. Other items ship year round.

At checkout, you may choose your desired delivery timeframe. This is a very important step!

We do ask that you make sure the weather in your zone is suitable for receiving and plating your roses.

Antique Rose Emporium is in Texas and the December weather can be anywhere from below freezing to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. But our weather is extremely mild compared to the northern United States.

We want you to have the best success possible with your roses and ask that you let us care for them over the winter and receive them at the time that you plan to plant.

Please ensure that you are not experiencing freezing temperatures and the ground is not frozen when you plan to receive your rose.
