7 to 12 feet

Few roses make a statement quite like Rosarium Uetersen. This magnificent climber produces enormous clusters of lush, deeply pink blooms that seem to pour over the plant in waves of color.

Each large flower can hold well over a hundred petals, forming richly layered, old-fashioned rosettes nearly 4 inches across. The blooms open a vibrant deep pink with a softly silvery reverse and gradually mellow to lighter tones as they age, creating beautiful depth and variation across the plant. In warm weather, the blossoms release a pleasant apple-like fragrance that drifts through the garden.

Originally bred in Germany by Wilhelm J. H. Kordes II, Rosarium Uetersen has earned a reputation worldwide for its vigor and resilience. Long, strong canes can reach 7–12 feet, making it ideal for arbors, pillars, fences, and trellises where its spectacular clusters can truly shine. The glossy medium-green foliage provides a healthy backdrop and shows strong disease resistance.

Expect a breathtaking main flush in spring or early summer, followed by scattered blooms later in the season. Whether trained as a climber or grown as a large shrub, Rosarium Uetersen brings dramatic color and classic rose beauty to the landscape.
