This dainty little rose has a powerful perfume that can scent an entire room. 'Perle d'Or' has buds that are similar to ‘Cécile Brünner’ and change from nearly orange to golden pink as they unfold in small clusters. The silky petals curl back neatly upon opening into a delicate pompom shape. Foliage is soft apple green, healthy, and full a plant that is seldom out of bloom.

At checkout, you may choose your desired delivery timeframe. This is a very important step!

We do ask that you make sure the weather in your zone is suitable for receiving and plating your roses.

Antique Rose Emporium is in Texas and the December weather can be anywhere from below freezing to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. But our weather is extremely mild compared to the northern United States.

We want you to have the best success possible with your roses and ask that you let us care for them over the winter and receive them at the time that you plan to plant.

Please ensure that you are not experiencing freezing temperatures and the ground is not frozen when you plan to receive your rose.

I tracked down a Perle d'Or because a local artisanal jam-maker told me that her beautiful, flavorful rose syrup was crafted from its flowers. Several years later, the plant is doing surprisingly well for its perennially chilly and damp coastal location—thriving with abundant blooms. While I had thought of de-accessioning this because I wasn't a huge fan of its rose form (I prefer the deeply cupped forms of antique and English roses), its extraordinary, powerful fragrance absolutely more than makes up for it. Kept bedside, the blooms are such a treat for drifting one off to sleep.

I wanted an older rose (19th c. origin) for my garden (Zone 6) and after doing some research, chose Perle d'Or from ARE. I first had her out in full sun; she was just doing okay so I put her in a part sun location where she's doing great. Covered in blooms, healthy foliage, lovely perfume.
