Blending horticultural insight with artistic perspective, this beautifully crafted volume explores the idea that roses are more than just plants: they each carry a distinct personality. From bold and commanding to soft and romantic, these unique characteristics can influence how a rose is used and experienced within the garden.

Through thoughtful storytelling and expert guidance, Mike Shoup invites gardeners to look beyond basic care and consider how each rose contributes to the overall feeling and design of a space. It’s both a practical resource and a source of inspiration for creating gardens that feel intentional, expressive, and alive.

Rich with full-color photography and presented in an oversized format, this book is as visually captivating as it is informative, perfect for display on a coffee table or as a meaningful gift for any rose lover.

We ship our roses from September to May. Other items ship year round.

At checkout, you may choose your desired delivery timeframe. This is a very important step!

We do ask that you make sure the weather in your zone is suitable for receiving and plating your roses.

Antique Rose Emporium is in Texas and the December weather can be anywhere from below freezing to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. But our weather is extremely mild compared to the northern United States.

We want you to have the best success possible with your roses and ask that you let us care for them over the winter and receive them at the time that you plan to plant.

Please ensure that you are not experiencing freezing temperatures and the ground is not frozen when you plan to receive your rose.
