Antique Rose Emporium is in Texas and the December weather can be anywhere from below freezing to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. But our weather is extremely mild compared to the northern United States.

We want you to have the best success possible with your roses and ask that you let us care for them over the winter and receive them at the time that you plan to plant.

Please ensure that you are not experiencing freezing temperatures and the ground is not frozen when you plan to receive your rose.

I didn't purchase this Crazy Love rose from ARE (bought it local) but felt compelled to write a review because this is the most robust, won't-quit rose there is! It is sited in a punishing spot: my South-East facing corner of my front garden plot, 1' away from my asphalt driveway, in poor soil (clay, some back fill from the driveway and a neighboring pathway) where it BAKES all summer long. I had moved it there temporarily from a more suitable site because I needed to remedy rose rosetted disease in the plot it was in. In fact, it exhibited signs of the disease as well, throwing up a large branch that had witch-broomed. (I destroyed all of the roses in that plot because of the disease but didn't have the heart to dispose of this one because it was so gorgeous, and I'm glad I didn't!!) The uploaded photos show the roses with pink peonies, and smaller pink roses in one, and purple veronica/purple roses in another. You can see how Crazy Love is fascinating, multicolored, and just jaw-droppingly beautiful, each bloom appearing slightly different from the last round. Direct sun "suntans" it to a bright fuchsia, and currently in this last Sept. weather, they're appearing in shades of apricot and butter. No signs of rose rosette disease since, and occasionally it shows a bit of black spot but works through it on its own. This is an incredible and exquisite rose! I'm a horticulturist, and cared for many roses, but this one is unforgettable.
