This vigorous shrub rose or mannerly climber produces wonderfully fragrant white clusters of flowers from spring through fall, making it a must for any garden The clusters appear as if produced by an artist, in perfect symetry, color and scent. Imbricated petals unfurl and appear like feathers cloaking a dove’s neck. Molly Glenzer, in her book, Pink Ladies and Crimson Gents, writes that this rose is thought to be named after Ida d’Orsay, the wife Antoine the ninth duke of Grammont.
