Very little inforamtion has come to light on this lovely rose. Our source, Cleo Barnwell of Shreveport, imported it from Sweden. We suspect this rose of being a sport of ‘Old Blush’ or perhaps a seedling of that rose. ‘Single Pink’ is a handsome, trouble-free, very bushy shrub that bears a constant load of five-petaled lilac pink flowers. Phillips and Rix described just such a rose in their photobook Roses, but they don’t seem to know where it came from either. ‘Single Pink’ might not win a flower show, but it is absolutely wonderful for a colorful, low maintenance garden.
