Loose clusters of open, purplish crimson cups reminded us of the Texas wildflower for which this small Floribunda-like rose is named. The only difference is that Winecup the rose sometimes shows streaks of white in the petals and has an apple scent. We received this plant as a once-blooming old Boursault climber, 'Purpurea'. Only the color matches 'Purpurea's' description on this bushy little constant bloomer, but we
