The spring display of flowers are like red velvet. In the fall, a show of large orange pear shaped hips cover this bush adding interest to any garden. Our gardener has considered making this a pillar rose instead of the large loose cascading shrub which is how it typically is grown. At a distance you could easily mistake it for a red azalea as the bush is solid and graceful.
